About

My name is Brooks Dame. I invest my time in improving the skills and tools I will need to be an advocacy lawyer. My education is Liberal Arts with a BA in History and a BA in Communication. I specialize in rhetoric and public speaking. I aspire to attend law school to provide legal services to those who need it, regardless of age, sex, race, gender, orientation, religion, or ability.

I spend my extra time volunteering in the great outdoors. I am the Trip Coordinator for Furman University's Outdoor Club, a club that handles over 500 members and boast a trip every weekend with annual White Water Rafting & Ski Trips. It is a logistical challenge and a great opportunity to provide positive outdoor adventures to those who otherwise would never be able to experience them. It is rewarding work and a chance to continuously apply my skills in White water canoeing (SWR certified, CPR certified, Lakefront Lifeguard certified), rock climbing, and mountaineering (Appalachian Trail thru hiker 2015).

My summers are spent working at Keystone Camp for Girls where I serve as a camp counselor, as Leadership staff, and managing the level system for the women to improve their skills. I organize and lead lessons, challenges, off campus trips, and daily games for the campers, ages 6-16, to encourage positive development in the core values that Keystone holds dear. I communicate with parents and enable every child to have a positive and fun summer.
